Live codestream 27.07

There will be a livestream/live codestream today at 22:00 (10PM) CEST. The focus for todays development and devstream will be implementing a basic and functional GUI system. I'll start on making a rough version of how the inventory will look etc. There are also some more additions to the inventory and how the inventory is handled that will be made. Dynamic loading of items from codefiles is an example. The game will support thousands of various items that you will be able to fetch and grab throughout the game. In the future you might be able to see procedurally generated items. Who knows? 

Anyhow, this is the plans for today's stream:

  • ITEM/INVENTORY Dynamic loading of items
  • ITEM/INVENTORY Support of images of items (type flat images (for inventory etc)). [Currently the plan is that only equippable items will have 3d-models - this makes it easier for larger amounts of items]
  • GUI Adding a "base" for general GUI in the game.
  • GUI Starting on a basic inventory GUI that can be expanded later..

The following of the goals got completed today:

  • GUI Adding a "base" for general GUI in the game.
  • GUI Starting on a basic inventory GUI that can be expanded later.. 
  • ITEM/INVENTORY Support of images of items (type flat images (for inventory etc)). [Currently the plan is that only equippable items will have 3d-models - this makes it easier for larger amounts of items]
  • GUI Healthbar, hungerbar, thirstbar (Amnesia will NOT have it's own bar, atleast not yet).
